What is Adobe Acrobat/What are PDF files?
Adobe Acrobat is a document format which enables us to publish documents as PDFs (Portable Document Format files) freely for everyone to read, regardless of the computer they are using. It preserves the intended look of the document, is flexible, both web and accessibility friendly and is more secure than other formats.
This requires an additional piece of software for your computer, called "Adobe Acrobat Reader". For convenience, we provide a link to the 'Adobe' website which holds the software. You will see the link on some of our other pages. We do not take any responsibility or provide support for the installation or use of this software. Please contact Adobe with any problems you may have with this software.
Documents we publish will occasionally contain links to our website. Our pages change with time, so please note that some of these links will occasionally stop working.
