Governor elections 2019
Governor elections for all four of our public constituencies are now open:
- Southampton City – four vacancies
- New Forest, Eastleigh and Test Valley – two vacancies
- Rest of England and Wales – one vacancy
- Isle of Wight – one vacancy
This is a great opportunity for members to put their names forward to become a governor and represent the views and opinions of the local community and help shape the future of our Trust.
We are holding numerous opportunities during the nomination period for you to meet with current governors and find out more about the role. Information on these will be shared shortly.
You are also welcome to attend the next members’ evening on Tuesday, 2 July from 6 to 8pm in the Heartbeat Education Centre (north wing, F level) at Southampton General Hospital. During the break, there will be the chance to speak to current governors.
If you'd like to stand as a governor, you can check that you're eligible and download a nomination form by clicking here. If you are not a Trust member, but wish to nominate yourself as a governor, you will need to register as a member first by filling in this online form.
You have until 5pm on Wednesday, 17 July to submit a nomination. Once the candidates have been finalised, voting will open on Monday, 5 August and run until Monday, 16 September, when it will close at 5pm.
The names of the elected governors will be declared on Tuesday, 17 September.
