Work to expand the Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre at Southampton General Hospital will be taking place from 12 August to 20 December 2013.
The work will create additional room space, and a larger activity room. This will allow services at the centre to expand, including the cancer survivorship programmes, financial aide, complementary therapies and the browsing information library.
The expansion comes as usage of the centre and its services has increased over the last eight years, with over 12,000 visitors last year.
The centre will be open as usual while the work is taking place, with some changes to room usage for complementary counselling and financial services.
For more information on the work, contact Paul Sales at Paul.Sales@uhs.nhs.uk or by calling 023 8120 8889.
