Introduction of parking enforcement from Monday, 16 January 2017
With effect from Monday, 16 January 2017 we will be introducing enforcement notices for any vehicle not parked in an appropriate space at the Southampton General and Princess Anne Hospitals.
The enforcement charge will be for the sum of £70 however this will be reduced to £35 if paid within 14 days.
While the vast majority of car park users park appropriately, there are still frequent instances of vehicles causing obstructions and / or restricting flow of traffic. This compromises the experience of our patients, as well as important access for the emergency services.
We appreciate that space is at a premium on our sites and would like to reassure patients, visitors and staff that introducing the enforcement is part of our ongoing strategy to improve parking and traffic flow.
All surplus income generated from enforcement will also be used to develop our parking facilities and sustainable travel services.
Thank you for your continued understanding while we work to make further improvements.
