Southampton Hospital Charity is to celebrate the 1st birthday of its weekly Lottery scheme, by giving away a guaranteed jackpot of £1,000 to one lucky player.
Southampton Hospital Charity launched the weekly Lottery Scheme with the aim of helping to raise funds for the benefit of patients at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The goal is to give away a weekly jackpot of £1,000, but this will only be possible when at least 2,500 players have joined the scheme. Until then, the prize pot is made up of 50% of the weekly proceeds.
However, to celebrate the Lottery’s 1st birthday, on Friday 9 October, one lucky player will receive a guaranteed jackpot of £1,000!
To be entered into October’s Birthday Draw, entries by standing order must be received by 1 September, and entries by cheque by 30 September.
Fundraising Officer, Suzie Pearce said, “It has been fantastic to be able to offer cash prizes to our supporters every week, whilst raising funds for the benefit of patients across the hospital, and we would really like to thank all of our players for their continued support over the past year. The charity team are very excited to celebrate the Lottery’s first birthday, and to give one lucky player the £1,000 prize - Good luck!”
Recent projects funded through donations given to Southampton Hospital Charity include the Opthalmology department’s recent purchase of a new £30,000, high frequency linear probe, and a new £5,520 ventilator purchased for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.
