£20,000 milestone reached for Lahna's Fund

Natasha and Lance with Jayne Drinkwater from The New Forest Hotel

Thanks to the fundraising efforts of Natasha Ings, Lance Beatty and their friends and family, Southampton Hospital Charity's Lahna Fund, set up in memory of their baby daughter, has just reached £20,000.

Their latest event was a charity Fish ‘n’ Chip and Bingo night, held on 27 January at the New Forest Hotel, Ashurst. Over 125 people enjoyed an evening of entertainment with prizes that included weekend breaks away, restaurant vouchers and local attraction tickets. Proceeds from the evening have pushed the fundraising total for the fund over the £20,000 mark.

Natasha said, “We are so pleased that we have reached such a milestone for our little girl, the fundraising has really helped us cope through this tragic loss as a family and has provided so much help to others. Thank you to all our continued supporters.”

Thanks to their fundraising efforts the emergency department has recently purchased two trolley based otoscopes, used to identify ear infections and trauma in children and infants ears.

Natasha continued, "We wont be stopping at just £20,000. We have our next set of spa days in April and May 2012 and are already planning another golf day for the spring or summer."
