Actress Susan Jameson launches hospital legacy campaign

Susan Jameson

This Spring sees the launch of Southampton Hospital Charity’s ‘Your Footprint In The Future’ legacy campaign.

The charity, which raises funds for Southampton General Hospital, The Princess Anne Hospital and outreach services, is asking supporters to consider leaving a legacy to enhance facilities for patients in the care of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.

Actress and patron of Southampton Hospital Charity, Susan Jameson, will be launching the event at Lymington Community Centre on Friday 8 April between 10am-12pm.

Susan, who is best known for her roles in New Tricks, When The Boat Comes In and CBBC’s Grandpa In My Pocket says, “I’m pleased and honoured to be contributing to the campaign. What better way to be remembered than by helping to make sure friends and loved ones will get the best care if they need it in the future?”

This event is open to all. Dr Alyson O’Donnell from The Princess Anne Hospital will also be speaking about ‘Advancements in Neonatal Medicine’ and will be on-hand to answer any questions.

Fundraising officer, Jacqui Quantrill from Southampton Hospital Charity says, “We are hoping to encourage the local community to come along and hear about the work of the charity, and we are urging supporters to think about leaving a gift in their will, and their footprint in the future after they have looked after their loved ones and family members.”

Please call the charity on 023 8079 881 to reserve your free ticket.
