Southampton Hospital Charity’s Red & White Appeal is all set to be boosted to the tune of £25,000 following a recent donation pledge from an anonymous donor.
The Red & White appeal is aiming to raise £2.2 million to create the transplant treatment centre of choice at Southampton General Hospital for patients with leukaemia and other blood disorders from Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Dorset, West Sussex and the Channel Islands.
Veryan Grant, director of Southampton Hospital Charity said, “We are so very grateful to the donor, who prefers to remain anonymous, for this wonderful offer of £25,000 for the Red & White Appeal. However, there is a condition attached. The funds will only be released if the community can also raise £25,000 through fundraising events by the end of September. If so, every pound raised could be doubled!”
Southampton Hospital Charity is urging supporters to come up with as many fundraising events as possible to help boost the appeal.
