Firemen Steve Bartlett and Danny Randall have been raising money for G3 ward at Southampton General Hospital, as a thank you for the care received by Mr Bartlett’s daugher Erin.
Mr Bartlett said, “Because Erin spent so much time with the play specialists during her time on the ward, we decided to fundraise through the fire service. We raised money through collections in the local community, and a car wash at Danny’s station, and came up with a combined total of £1,000.”
Play Specialist Emma Chisman said, “We are delighted with the donation of £1,000 from Steve, Danny and their fire bridages, which will go towards play equipment for the children on our ward.”
