Staff and customers at Gala Bingo, Lordshill have been raising money to support Southampton Hospital Charity.
The local bingo club have raised a total of £1,900 to date from various fundraising activities ranging from charity collections to skydives. A team of nine members of staff and Poppy the dog also walked eleven miles for the Rotary Club of Romsey Test’s Walk the Test Way, raising sponsorship for Southampton Hospital Charity. Over the coming year the club aims to raise over £2,500 through the charity’s Corporate Stars scheme.
Southampton Hospital Charity supports wards and departments across Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne Hospital, funding charity projects and medical equipment to enhance the services and facilities for patients and their families.
Fundraising manager Carrie Bolt said, “We are so pleased to have the team at Gala Bingo on board to support the work that we are doing at Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne Hospital. There are many ways for local companies to get involved in supporting us and we’ve got an action packed calendar of team building events to offer, ideal for corporate days and employee fundraising. We’re encouraging all businesses to join Gala Bingo Lordshill in supporting Southampton Hospital Charity."
