Southampton Hospital Charity will be holding a coffee morning at King John’s House in Romsey on Friday, 10 February.
The free event will run from 10am in the Upper Hall and will be an opportunity to have a free cup of coffee and get together with friends and new people. Joan Newman, clinical nurse specialist, will also be on hand to chat to guests.
All donations will go to Southampton Hospital Charity’s £1.76million Red & White Appeal|, to create a specialist day unit for blood cancer patients at Southampton General Hospital.
With just over four weeks to go until the charity’s Red & White Appeal Day on Friday, 9 March, supporters are also encouraged to organise their own coffee mornings to raise money for the project.
Fundraising officer, Suzie Simmons said, “We look forward to seeing our supporters at our coffee morning on Friday, 10 February. We are also asking the local community to get together and hold their own coffee mornings, with friends, neighbours or their local club or group to help support patients with leukaemia. If anyone is interested in fundraising for the Red & White Appeal by holding their own event, please do come and chat to me at King John’s House and I’ll be happy to help with your ideas.”
