Southampton Hospital Charity’s Christmas Wish is to raise £50,000 to support the services for patients and visitors at Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne Hospital.
With 100 days to go until Christmas the charity is inviting supporters to each raise £100 over the coming weeks to help reach their fundraising goal.
Individuals, community groups, school and colleges are encouraged to take part by organising a sponsored challenge, cake sale, quiz night or raffle to raise £100 in support of the £2.2million Red & White Appeal| for a new blood cancer unit. Alternatively supporters can choose to fundraise for any ward or department of the hospital that is close to their heart.
Southampton Hospital Charity’s Red & White Appeal which recently celebrated its £1million milestone, aims to create a specialist treatment unit for patients with leukaemia and other life threatening blood disorders from across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Dorset, West Sussex and the Channel Islands. Building on the state of the art unit cannot start until £2.2million has been raised. It is hoped that individuals and communities will get behind the campaign and pledge to raise their £100.
Fundraising suggestions include:
-
Spending £1 per day less on lunch and collecting the pounds
-
