Dedicated fundraiser Paul Bevan is proudly climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Southampton Hospital Charity's Ovarian Cancer Fund.
Following weeks of training, 41-year-old Paul from Chandler's Ford, has begun his seven-day challenge, which will see him climb 5,800 metres to reach the peak.
Paul aims to raise money to thank the medical team who helped to care for his mother Beverly Bevan, who lost a three-year battle with Ovarian Cancer in October 2009.
Every penny raised from the challenge will go to Southampton Hospital Charity's Ovarian Cancer Fund, and will help to fund equipment and support for women battling the disease.
