Southampton Hospital Charity is delighted to invite supporters to a free coffee morning at Lymington Community Centre on Friday 8 April, to help launch their spring legacy campaign.|
The charity, which raises funds for Southampton General Hospital, the Princess Anne Hospital and connected services, is asking supporters to consider leaving a legacy to enhance facilities for patients in the care of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
The community event, open to all between 10am and 12pm, will give supporters a chance to meet actress and charity patron Susan Jameson, best known for her roles in New Tricks, When The Boat Comes In and CBBC’s Grandpa In My Pocket. Susan says, “I’m pleased and honoured to be contributing to the campaign. What better way to be remembered than by helping to make sure friends and loved ones will get the best care if they need it in the future?”
Star of Channel 4’s BAFTA-award winning One Born Every Minute, Dr Alyson O’Donnell from The Princess Anne Hospital will also be speaking about ‘Advancements in Neonatal Medicine’ and will be on-hand to answer any questions.
Fundraising officer, Jacqui Cammish from Southampton Hospital Charity says, “We are encouraging all members of the community to come along on Friday, enjoy a coffee and hear about the work of the charity. With our ‘Footprint in the Future’ legacy campaign we hope supporters will consider leaving the hospital a gift in their Will, after they have looked after their loved ones and family members.”
“You don’t have to be wealthy to leave a worthwhile gift. Any gift of whatever size, is precious to Southampton Hospital Charity – it really will make a difference."
