Saints legends Matthew Le Tissier and Francis Benali were guests of honour at Southampton Hospital Charity's Winter Raffle grand draw. The event took place at Peter Cooper VW in Hedge End. Managing Director of Peter Cooper Volkswagen, Darren Cooper says, "We are delighted to support Southampton Hospital Charity's Winter Raffle. Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne Maternity Hospital do an excellent job of looking after our friends and family. It's great to be able to help to raise funds to improve the facilities at our city's hospitals."
The Charity is very grateful to the sponsors of the raffle including Peter Cooper Hedge End, Sandy Balls in the New Forest , John Lewis Southampton and of course Matthew Le Tissier and Francis Benali for being such a fantastic sports during the evening. The three winning tickets were plucked out of a giant wind tunnel which added to the suspense on the evening.
Congratulations to the following Trust staff who won the fabulous prizes:
1st Prize: VW Fox Car was won by Lyndsey Corfield, nurse on ITU
2nd Prize: Holiday at Sandy Balls was won by Emma Hodgson, sister on GICU
3rd Prize: Luxury hamper from John Lewis was won by Loraine Bunting, ward manager on ENT (pictured receiving her prize)
The Charity would like to thank all those who bought and sold raffle tickets and supported the raffle. All proceeds will fund ward and department charity projects across Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne Maternity Hospital.
