Staff at Sainsbury’s, Bitterne West have chosen Southampton Hospital Charity as their Charity of the Year. Collections and fundraising activities will be taking place in the store over the coming months, to raise funds for charity projects across Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne Maternity Hospital.
Southampton Hospital Charity aims to create an environment, which exceeds the expectations of patients and visitors in the care of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and connected services. Through fundraising events, charitable donations, legacies and voluntary support, the Charity can complement and enhance services and facilities, so that the very best can be provided for all.
Southampton Hospital Charity’s Fundraising Officer, Liz Hole said, “We would like to thank all of the staff and customers at Sainsbury’s, Bitterne West for their support, which really will make a big difference to their local hospital.
