Tony takes to the skies to celebrate 75th birthday in style

75-year old Tony Bidmead from Hedge End had a birthday to remember, jumping 10,000ft from a plane to raise money for Southampton Hospital Charity, the League of Friends at the Royal South Hants Hospital and the RAF Regiment Fund.

Celebrating his 75th birthday on Friday 15 July Tony took to the skies, supported by friends and family.

Reflecting on his challenge, Tony said, "The skydive was fantastic but it was all over too quickly!  The organisers were first rate and the parachutists very, very experienced.  It was certainly worth while to raise money for the two hospitals and the servicemen who require, in this day and age, our financial support."

It’s not too late to sponsor Tony. Cheques can be made payable to ‘Southampton Hospital Charity’ and posted to Mailpoint 135, Southampton General Hospital, Southampton, SO16 6YD.
