Forming collaborations

Our NIHR Southampton Biomedical Research Centre is looking to form collaborations with clinicians or researchers in areas of nutrition or respiratory disease and critical care who have projects, or ideas for projects, which seek to promote healthy behaviour change.

We particularly welcome collaborations with clinicians who have identified a health issue typical of their patient population which could be improved by behaviour change (in either patients or health professionals).

What we offer

  • Our own expertise in health psychology and behavioural science
  • Help and support with organising patient and public involvement in your project
  • Connections with other colleagues working within the NIHR BRC and in health psychology
  • Grant applications strengthened by backing from the NIHR BRC

How to collaborate with us

If you are a clinician or a researcher and you have a project idea or would like to apply for further funding for an existing project please contact Mary Barker or Mary Steele to arrange a meeting. Contact details can be found here.

We recommend that clinicians with a project idea contact us at the early stages of planning. We will then arrange an initial meeting to discuss how we might be able to work together.
