Liz Blake, children's senior sister
Liz jointly coordinates an experienced team of children’s research nurses, aiming to ensure that all children have the opportunity to take part in and enjoy research within the facility, hospital and wider community.
Liz has worked in children’s clinical research since 2009, starting with work in the NIHR Southampton Biomedical Research Centre in nutrition on studies in children with inflammatory bowel disease, and also in the nutrition and growth of pre-term infants.
Prior to working in clinical research, she managed a child health information department in Hampshire, having worked on children’s wards in several hospitals in London and the south of England, both in neonates and general paediatric wards.
