Key achievements
Started the VATS lobectomy programme at SGH. We are the second largest centre for minimal access surgery in thoracic surgery in the UK. Activity includes treatment of early lung cancer, mediastinal tumours and cysts, and thymectomy for myasthenia and thymomas.

1. Synchronous thymoma and lung carcinoma resected via median sternotomy with VATS guidance.
2. Long-term outcome of bronchoscopically resected endobronchial typical carcinoid tumors.
