Professor Arden has worked for Southampton University Hospitals Trust since February 2000. 

Key achievements

I run a large research programme into the causes and treatment of osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis.

I run a large clinical trials programme for the management of these conditions. 

I have written the European and International guidelines for the diagnosis and management of osteoarthritis.
