Dr Coleman has worked for Southampton University Hospitals Trust since July 2004.

Specialist registrar training in Gastroenterology at Walsgrave Hospital-Coventry, Selly Oak Hospital-Birmingham, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, City General Hospital-Stoke on Trent. DM thesis entitled ''Serotonergic Mechanisms in the Upper GI Tract'' at Nottingham University with Professor Robin Spiller. Appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist with a special interest In functional gastrointestinal and motility disorders at the Southampton General Hospital in 2004.
