Dr Heames has worked for Southampton University Hospitals Trust since August 2005.

Have had specialised training in vascular and major general surgery in Vancouver, Canada.  Experienced in regional anaesthesia for shoulder surgery.  Trained to provide goal-directed fluid therapy in colorectal surgery.  Skilled in sedation and regional anaesthesia for ophthalmic surgery. 

Key achievements

Set up and run the anaesthetic component of the ACCS Training Programme.
Lead for Anaesthetic Key Performance Indicators.
Commenced use of Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia in shoulder surgery.
