Mr Jacob has worked for Southampton University Hospitals Trust since July 2006.

Wide experience in the management of all ophthalmological conditions in two countries over nearly two decades.
Glaucoma training with Prof Ravi Thomas, Mr Peter Wishart  & Mr Mark Batterbury.
Experienced in augmented Trabeculectomy surgery, Deep sclerectomy (Non-penetrating ‘Trabeculectomy’) surgery, drainage implant surgery and combined procedures.

Key achievements

Epidemiological study on the prevalence of primary glaucoma in south India as dissertation for my Master of Surgery degree in Ophthalmology. It identified angle closure glaucoma as the more prevalent disease in the study population. Narrow angle suspects were reviewed five years later to generate incidence data that was rare in the literature.
