Undergraduate medical training at Newcastle University. Subsequent training in general medicine and nuclear medicine undertaken at Southampton University Hospitals Trust, Royal Hospital, Haslar, and St Bartholomews Hospital, London.
Experience
Dr Kemp has worked for Southampton University Hospitals Trust since August 1997.
Accredited as a Consultant in Nuclear Medicine in 1995. Appointed as a Consultant at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and Clinical Lecturer at Cambridge University. Although I undertake all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine, my current major area of expertise is brain imaging for the diagnosis of dementia and Parkinson's disease. To this end, I am currently the National Advisor for the UK on neuro-nuclear brain imaging

Awarded six figure grant by the (A)MRC for brain imaging research in dementia. Awarded FRCP in 2005.
