Experience
Professor Kennedy has worked for Southampton University Hospitals Trust since 1984.
Set up single handed regional service in 1988 and have had 21 years general paediatric neurological experience in that post; now assisted by 4 colleagues.
Special interest in neuro-oncology.
Key achievements
Significant contributions to literature on encephalitis, management of post-h’rrhagic hydrocephalus of infants, universal newborn screening for permanent deafness, early brain tumour diagnosis, quality of survival following brain tumours. Current collaboration with WHO.
