Mr Steinbrecher has worked for Southampton University Hospitals Trust since January 1998. 

National and International reputation for pioneering and developing Paediatric Laparoscopic surgery. Specialist skills in  Paediatric Laparoscopic Urology developed over 12 years. Clinical Conditions treated cover all specialist and non specialist paediatric urology including groin surgery, genital surgery / hypospadias, upper urinayr tract / renal surgery, bladder reconstructive / neuropathic bladder and bowel surgery.

Founding member of British Association of Paediatric Endoscopic Surgeons
(Treasurer and Secretary for 9 years).
1st in the country to carry out paediatric laparoscopic bladder reconstructive surgery.
