Training and Education
Mr Uglow trained at St. George's hospital in London and then moved to Wessex to complete his basic and higher surgical training. He undertook a fellowship in paediatric orthopaedic surgery at The Children's Hospital, Westmead in Sydney, Australia. He was appointed as a consultant to Portsmouth Hospitals in 2000 and transferred to Southampton in 2002.

Mr Uglow has worked for Southampton University Hospitals Trust since May 2002.
Mr Uglow is experienced in the generality of orthopaedics & trauma but has special expertise in children's orthopaedics and foot & ankle surgery. He trained throughout Wessex and finished his training on felllowship in Australia. He has wide experience in children's trauma and deformity correction especially in the treatment of foot disorders. He is an experienced foot and ankle surgeon dealing particularly with sports injuries and deformities of both the hind foot and forefoot.
Key achievements
Mr Uglow established the Southampton Limb length and deformity correction service. He also established the Ponseti clinic for casting of children's clubfeet. He is currently the Clinical Lead for Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery.
Key awards and prizes
Awarded the BSCOS Aesculap prize to visit Dr Ponseti in the University of Iowa. Winner of the Gauvain Society prize (wessex annual regional training day)
