Exercise stress testing course
Course description
A one day seminar on exercise stress testing will introduce the delegate to the normal electrocardiographic and haemodynamic responses to exercise and introduce how to record a patients history. The course will include a practical session on how to safely perform an exercise test, it will present case studies to help report writing and provide an insight into cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
This module has been created to align with national competencies set by the professional body.

Target audience
This course is suited to healthcare professionals with an interest in cardiology. It is also suited for BSc students in year 3 or year 4 in cardiac physiology or healthcare professionals assisting in exercise testing.
Prerequisites
An awareness of fundamental ECG interpretation.
