Pacing
Course description
This course will introduce the delegate to the pacing and pacemaker technology. It will provide detailed information regarding the physics of pacing, progressing into indications for pacing, pacing implantation, diagnostics and pacing modes. As part of the blended learning experience, e-resources will be provided to enhance the learning opportunities.
The theoretical content of this module has been created to align with national competencies set by the professional body.

Target audience
This course is suited for healthcare professional wishing to expand their knowledge of cardiology and to those involved with pacemakers. Delegates could be cardiac nurses, paramedics, practice nurses, A&E junior doctors, healthcare science associates expanding their roles within the clinical environment, and cardiac physiologists in year 2 the BSc (Hons) or FD degree programme.
