Course description

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

interpret the main principles of the data protection act
understand the process of using maternity HICSS
access Maternity HICSS and search correctly for the required patient record
interpret the antenatal booking documentation which accompanies maternity HICSS
input details of an antenatal booking and print the relevant documentation
input details of a significant antenatal event and print the relevant documentation
input details of an end of pregnancy (early loss, caesarean, assisted and non-assisted birth)
conduct a NHS number and PMI (Patient Master index hospital number) registration via maternity HICSS and print the relevant documentation
