Microsoft Excel 2007 (introduction) course

Course description

This course provides an introduction to the basic skills needed to create and edit spreadsheets using Excel 2007. Students will learn to add data, basic formulas, functions and charts.

 
Aims and outcomes

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • work with cells, rows and columns
  • move and copy data
  • explore cell references and formulas and functions
  • format cells
  • work with charts
 
Target audience

Any member of staff who is required to use Excel

 
Prerequisites
  • Students must be able to competently use the mouse, keyboard and have an understanding of managing files in Windows.
  • Students should have knowledge of using Microsoft Word or have attended the Microsoft Word course.
