Microsoft Word 2007 (introduction) course

Course description

Microsoft Word is the Trust standard word processing tool and is commonly used inside and outside of the Trust. Word allows for input, editing and output of text into a clear and concise document which can be easily reproduced.

Students will learn to add and edit text and pictures following the instructions of the course tutor.
 
Aims and outcomes

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • understand how to create, print and save a document incorporating a graphic
  • demonstrate how to change font size and type
  • understand how and when to insert bullets and numbering
  • recognise when to create and use a document template
 
Target audience
All staff who are required to use Microsoft Word.
 
Prerequisites

Students must be able to competently use a mouse, keyboard and have an understanding of managing files in Windows.
