The day covers:

Moving and handling practical

Fire (local update)
-
MEWS and SBAR update
-
Infection prevention update
-
Hand hygiene
-
Risk assessments (SIRFIT, BRADEN, MUST and BED RAILS)
-
Adult and paediatric basic life support (Including AED)
-
ANTT, medicines handling and anti-embolic stockings awareness
Aims and outcomes
To ensure all staff are aware of the trusts policies which include fire, moving and handling, infection control and basic life support.
Target audience
Registered nurses and healthcare assistants in division B.
Prerequisites
For division B staff only
Course length
One day. There are a maximum of 18 places per course.
