How to report concerns

All personal information is confidential. The identity of the informant will not be disclosed to anyone else, even if a case reaches court. Information can be supplied anonymously, but if some details are accidentally omitted it may be that a case cannot be progressed. The Trust has a legal obligation to support someone who raises a concern, provided that it is genuinely founded and not malicious.

Concerns can be raised as simply as telephoning the local counter fraud specialist. However, it is also possible to put concerns in writing, either by letter or email. A referral form can be found at appendix B of the Trust's Counter fraud policy|.

Alternatively information about suspected fraud or corruption can be reported free of charge to the national NHS fraud and corruption reporting line: 0800 028 40 60.
