Information governance
The information governance on-line training is made up of a set of modules covering different areas of information governance, including:

data protection and confidentiality
-
IT security
-
information risk
-
Freedom of Information
-
records management
All Trust staff must complete one of the introductory modules which is applicable to their job role. This is either:

introduction to information governance, or
-
information governance: the beginner’s guide
Clinical staff are also required to complete the module:

The Importance of Good Clinical record keeping
Staff may wish to complete other modules recommended for their job roles or of interest to them but these are not currently mandatory requirements.
How to access the information governance e-learning

Go to the IGTT Site

Enter your username and password in the registered users login box. If you've not visited the website before you need to register (see the Downloads box to the right for information on how to do this). On first entering the site you may be asked to change your password. Carefully follow the instructions on the screen and format a new password using the three required components.

Once you have changed your password, your details will be displayed. This is Your Profile. You can return to it at any time by clicking on the Your Profile tab. There is no need to update your profile unless you make changes to it.

Click on the Learning Tools tab

For information governance training click on the + (plus) sign next to information governance and IG management

Click on the heading that is marked mandatory
Record Keeping Training

For Record keeping training click on the + sign next to Records Management

Click on the heading The importance of good clinical record keeping
