Basic project management

Course description

This half day course will enable delegates to understand the basic principles of how to manage projects successfully. 

Please note this is not a PRINCE2 project management course. Basic project management skills and techniques will be included.

 
Aims and outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Identify the importance of project management
  • list the stages of a project
  • explain how to scope and plan the project
  • identify stakeholders
  • agree and delegate objectives
  • review project progress
  • identify and manage issues and risks
  • report and evaluate project completion
 
Target audience
Staff who are involved in running and managing projects.
