Dyslexia workshop for managers – education perspective

Course description

This one day course, facilitated by the British Dyslexia Association (BDA), will help educators, trainers and managers have a better understanding of dyslexia, how employees can be supported, teaching styles and practical solutions.

 
Aims and outcomes
  • Learn about the dyslexia spectrum, strengths and weaknesses and its genetic roots
  • Identify the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act
  • Worked on practical solutions to typical difficulties the dyslexic student faces and how these could be implemented generally
  • Study the teaching styles which might be more useful to the dyslexic student
  • Explore how software can assist
 
Target audience

Education leads, trainers, supervisors, managers, HR staff. Anyone with the responsibility for managing or training staff.
