Numeracy skills

Course description

The course will help you improve your addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills and increase your confidence at work. The course will also help you gain estimating skills as well as being able to make accurate calculations using fractions, decimals and percentages. 

Nationally identified qualification will be achieved upon successful completion.

An initial assessment will be undertaken in your first session to establish your current standard.

This is a 13 week course consisting of a two hour session per week.

 
Aims and outcomes

The course intends to support you to gain skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, estimating as well as being able to make accurate calculations using fractions, decimals and percentages.

 
Target audience

For staff who want to improve their numeracy skills to give them more confidence at work.

Bands one to four particularly, but all staff welcome.
