Course description

This course will consist of three topics:

  • getting started and presentation skills
  • writing your assignment
  • library research skills

Each topic will have one 3 hour teaching session. 

 
Aims and outcomes

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • understand the principles of planning and time management
  • discuss how best to get started on studies
  • demonstrate effective presentation skills
  • list the required parts of an assignment
  • understand how to structure assignments and essays
  • identify research skills
  • complete a literature search
 
Target audience
All staff who want to prepare themselves to start a college or university course.
