Course description
This course will consist of three topics:

getting started and presentation skills

writing your assignment
-
library research skills
Each topic will have one 3 hour teaching session.
Aims and outcomes
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

understand the principles of planning and time management

discuss how best to get started on studies

demonstrate effective presentation skills

list the required parts of an assignment
-
understand how to structure assignments and essays
-
identify research skills
-
complete a literature search

All staff who want to prepare themselves to start a college or university course.
