Basic life support adult and paediatric (non-clinical staff) course

Course description

This short session is intended to teach staff who are regularly in the ward areas but do not have the responsibility of looking after patients to raise the alarm and watch effective basic life support.

Course provided as a mandatory update.

 
Aims and outcomes
Upon successful completion you will:
  • be able to recognise a collapsed adult or paediatric patient
  • understand and be able to summon emergency assistance within the individual hospitals
 
Target audience
All clerical and administration staff,  dieticians, pharmacy technicians, porters etc. attending a mandatory update.
