Target Audience

This course is for staff who would like to deliver training in the Simulation Suite or who want to use the medium fidelity manikins in their own workplace

Requirements/Prerequisites
|
Staff taking this course should be Resuscitation Council Accredited Instructors or Instructors on ATLS
Minimum 6 attendees
Maximum 12 attendees

Aims/Outcomes
|
To be able to programme and run clinically based scenarios using Laerdal software
To be able to assemble and carry out simple maintenance on the training manikins
To be able to Critique and Debrief candidates in a constructive and educationally sound manner

Course Content
|
The course will look at SimMan / SimBaby software and hardware, manikin features, basic maintenance and fault finding, the use of the SimCentre equipment, Programming and Running a scenario and Debriefing techniques.
