Doctors statutory and mandatory training requirements
The Trust has a responsibility to provide various statutory and mandatory training in a variety of subjects and to ensure that all staff attend. It is also the professional responsibility of all staff to make sure they have evidence they have kept up to date with this training.
Statutory training is required by law to assure maintenance of service
Mandatory training is required by organisation to limit risk and maintain safe working practice
-
During your first year you must complete the training sessions that were not covered in your induction.
-
Each year thereafter you should complete the session again to ensure and record that you are up to date.
Please download the statutory and mandatory training log for medical staff| to find out what training sessions you need to do.
There are often adjustments to the learning logs. Please ensure you use the current version and do not refer to any previous versions.
If you wish to see the Trust's full statutory and mandatory training matrix, it can be found on staffnet, the Trust's intranet.
