Weekly education for physicians and physicians in training (WE-FIT)
Weekly education sessions provide a forum for physicians to maintain their general medical knowledge, and also provide junior doctors with a high quality education program beyond their own training program.
These new and improved Grand Round sessions are intended for all physicians and physicians in training (SpRs, StR, CMT, FY, fellows).
Each week is presented by two speakers, usually a junior doctor and a senior doctor. There may be external speakers on occasion. Presentations may be based on clinico-pathological presentations, case studies, or other formats. Staff and juniors can learn from specialist and sub-specialist experiences, but with a focus on education appropriate to junior doctors’ general medical training. These sessions will therefore also be useful for specialists looking to update their general internal medicine knowledge.
