Medical Personnel Induction
You will soon be starting your employment with Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust and we hope you enjoy your time here.
Your Medical Personnel Induction will provide you with information you need to know in order to be employed safely.
The review of this induction is mandatory before starting work and is a condition of employment. You are required to open and read every document in the left and right hand columns (excluding voluntary reading) in order to print out your completion certificate at the end.
You also require to review the TRUST Sharp Safety Policy as part of the Medical Personnel Induction
You must then sign and date your certificate and present it to Medical Personnel. You will not be able to sign your contract and therefore begin work here until you produce this certificate.
There is a pack situated in the Medical Personnel Office containing relocation details for doctors in training throughout the region. Any claims for excess mileage in lieu of removal expenses are also dealt with through the relocation pack.
It is important that any claims you make for expenses, eg. extra duty, travel on hospital business or relocation claims, are submitted shortly after the period to which the claim relates. All claims must be authorised by the appropriate authorised signatory in your department before payment can be made.
