Southampton orthopaedics: Centre for arthroplasty and revision surgery

Joint replacement surgery has transformed the lives of millions of people over the last 50 years. Most joint replacements last for many years, but sometimes they fail and need revision surgery. This is often complicated and requires teams of highly trained and experienced surgeons, doctors, nurses and physiotherapists to achieve the best outcomes for patients.

Speech and language therapy

Our team will work with you and your family to provide treatment and care if you're having problems with communicating or swallowing.

Spiritual care

Our chaplaincy team (consisting of chaplains and volunteers) is available to support patients, families and carers during their time in hospital.

Subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH)

Subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH) affects a person suddenly and usually without any prior warning. It is a leakage of blood beneath the arachnoid membrane of the brain (pictured opposite) from a major blood vessel.
