Teenage and young adult cancer care

We are the specialist cancer hospital for young people who live in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, Dorset, south Wiltshire, West Sussex and the Channel Islands.

The Face Place

The Face Place is a regional facial rehabilitation clinic, treating people with facial problems.

The helipad

We have installed a helipad on the north-east corner of the Southampton General Hospital site to give access straight to the doors of the emergency department.

TIPSS (Transjugular Intrahepatic PortoSystemic Shunt)

This tells you about the procedure known as TIPSS. It explains what is involved and what the possible risks are.

Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI)

The specialist TAVI team offers an alternative treatment option for patients who are too unwell, or who have been deemed unsuitable for conventional open heart surgery involving the aortic valve.

Transition to adult care: Ready Steady Go

In healthcare, we use the word transition to describe the process of preparing, planning and moving from children's to adult services. Transition is a gradual process that gives you, and everyone involved in your care, time to get you ready to move to adult services and discuss what healthcare needs you will require as an adult.

Trauma and orthopaedics

Our trauma and orthopaedic unit provides an elective service for patients with orthopaedic conditions which have developed over time, and a trauma service which specialises in patients who have been injured in accidents.

Trust Board sets strategies, plans and budgets, manages the staff and services of the Trust, and upholds stakeholder partnerships.
