Meet the team
Cardiac Rhythm Management consultants:
Prof John Morgan|
Dr Paul Roberts|
Dr Paul Roberts graduated from the University of Leeds in 1990 and came to Southampton University Hospital in 1996.
He completed his MD thesis in 2000 on research into implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs). He was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist in 2002.
His particular areas of expertise are within the specialty of cardiac rhythm management (CRM). This involves all aspects of interventional electrophysiology with a particular interest in radiofrequency catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation.
He is part of a very active research group in CRM with a particular interest in ICD based research and the use of non-contact mapping for risk stratification of sudden cardiac death.
Dr Arthur Yue
|Dr Yue was educated at Oxford University, UK, and Harvard University, USA. He graduated in 1994.
He was trained in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at Southampton University Hospital and John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
His clinical interests are catheter ablation of arrhythmias including complex atrial fibrillation ablation, and device therapies including cardiac resynchronization therapy.
His research interests are complex mapping technologies, cardiac repolarization and risk stratification of sudden cardiac death. He has published and reviewed in world-renowned cardiology journals.
