Thoracic surgery
Our thoracic service is one of the most highly regarded in the UK. The newly refurbished thoracic ward (D2) has 20 beds, including six dedicated post-operative recovery beds. The ward and staff are equipped to manage arterial lines, patient controlled analgesia, epidurals and tracheostomies.
The service uses video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) and is the largest centre in the country for these procedures.
