Phsiotherapists
The physiotherapy team function in two distinct areas in vascular surgery; they mobilise and provide chest physiotherapy to patients after surgery and they provide a rehabilitation service to those patients with complicated mobilisation requirements.
The team at the Southampton General Hospital will provide the post-operative care and commence the rehabilitation program where necessary. The full rehabilitation programme is then taken over by the outpatient team after discharge.
